POSITION SUMMARY – Technical Writer

Clearsense is seeking a Technical Writer to lead documentation strategy and be responsible for planning, authoring, and maintaining content targeted to both business and technical audiences. As an active participant in development sprint cycles, the Technical Writer collaborates with product owners, software developers, and other cross-functional subject matter experts to clearly and concisely communicate the concepts, approaches, and capabilities of our leading-edge technology solution. This includes end user documentation for client-facing web applications, developer/technology guides, test plans and training materials for platform components and solutions. This role will also contribute significantly to Quality Assurance functions at Clearsense.  The successful candidate will enjoy creative problem-solving and love collaborating to create thorough, usable documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Lead documentation strategy and content development
  • Produce descriptive and supplemental content including screenshots, illustrations, process and workflow diagrams
  • Develop and adhere to applicable style guide(s)
  • Develop and maintain documentation library for clients and internal team members
  • Interact with client engagement and support teams to analyze and address documentation needs
  • Active participant in sprint cycles and testing to understand features, concepts, and services being developed and delivered
  • Work with product owners and engineers to create quality assistance test plans
  • Work with product owners and engineers to create quality assistance test cases
  • Participate in user acceptance and functional testing


  • A degree in English, Computer Science, Math/Statistics or related field highly preferred
  • Experience with software product and cloud technology end user documentation highly preferred
  • Experience with structured documentation, information architecture, and on-line help design
  • Ability to come up-to-speed quickly on new and advanced technology
  • Ability to translate complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, and Confluence
  • Strong collaborator experienced working with on-site and remote employees alike
